He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa G. McClendon, Sr. and Edith Pauline Rayburn; and his brother Asa Gutherie McClendon, Jr.. He is survived by: his close friend Kathy Carson of Old Hickory; his daughters, Rachael Lynn Curtis (Lance) of Gallatin and Leila Brown (Steven Schultz) of Nashville; his sisters, Deborah McClendon Thompson (Mike) of White House, Barbara Ann Knight of Ashland City and Frances MacKay (Calvin Potts) of Antioch; and his grandchildren, Jase Kendall Patrick and Cheyenne Brown. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
