He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Homer (Pickey) and Gladys Irene Newman (Mabry); his son David Newman; his brother Robert Newman; his wife Mary Oliver-Newman; his children, Terry Eakes (Alan), Robinette Jackson, Richard Oliver and Dwayne Oliver; his grandchildren, Michael Mulloy, Leslie Tubberville (Kevin), Anthony Oliver, Morgan Oliver, Victoria Oliver and Brittany Jackson; his great grandchildren, Bryson Tubberville, Jacob Tubberville, MacKenzie Oliver and Layla Jackson; and his sister Betty Jean Barkley (Bernard "Bubba"). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
