It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Blackwelder of Old Hickory, Tennessee, born in Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on August 9, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Blackwelder and Jane Blackwelder; his brother Stephen Blackwelder; and his stepson Todd Griffin. He is survived by: his wife Jacque Shely Blackwelder; his stepson Andy Griffin (Terri); his grandchildren, Baylor, Emory and McLean Griffin; his sister-in-law JoAnne Blackwelder; and his nieces, Sarah and Elizabeth Bronzino.
Social Distancing is strongly encouraged as well.
In lieu of flowers, the Blackwelder family has requested that donations in Denis' memory be made to Saint Joseph's Catholic Church.
