She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Reese and Vera Reese; her husband Edward F. Hengstler, Jr; her son Edward F. Hengstler III; and her brother William D. Reese. She is also survived by daughter; three grandchildren; two sisters; one brother; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
