It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Vandevort Toy (Old Hickory, Tennessee), who passed away on January 7, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Mack Jackson and Jessie Elizabeth Cotham Jackson; her son Donnie; her husbands, Bill Vandevort and Orville Toy; and her siblings, William Harold Jackson, Jessie Marie Harbour and Martha Ann Toy.
She is survived by: her children, Debbi Weston (Mike), Jerry Batson (Linda), Wayne Vandevort (Chrystal) and Candis Angle (Robert); her grandchildren, Teresa Robertson, Jeremy Robertson (Stephanie), Josh Weston (Erin), Jacquie Jackson (Willie), Jessica Gant (Braden), Jared Angle (Gillian), Justin Angle (Jessica), Lauren Batson, Rachel Batson, Chanel Thomas, Camile Thomas and Tori Vandevort; her sister Melba Steakley (Graham); and her close friends, Joy, Charlie and Jamie. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; 1 (and one on the way) great-great grandchild.
