He is survived by: his son Lorenzo Dupree Marthel; his friend Floretta Cartwright; his sisters, Anita, Jan, Zina Marthel and Marilyn Jones; his stepchildren, Tamara and John Cartwright (Jamie); and his grandchildren, Keegan, LaNika, Cortezia, Orlando, Tupac, Ramon, Nakiya and Zyan. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
