He was predeceased by: his parent Roscoe Sherman Smallwood; his wife Virginia Williams Smallwood; and his siblings, Paul Meadows, Roscoe Sherman "Bug" Smallwood Jr., Louise Jones, Martha Belle Dixon and Rosenell Strait.

He is survived by: his parent Zander Jones Smallwood; his children, Lisa Frizzell (Murray Lee) and Tim Smallwood (Deborah Russell); his sister Bonnie Jean Head; and also Mike. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Smallwood to a charity of your choice.
