He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jakes and Georgia Jakes; his wife Una Moore Jakes; and his sister Pauline. He is survived by: his sons, Bill and Miller; his grandchildren, Bryan, Georgia and Brittany (Bobby); his great grandchildren, Will and Miranda (James); and also, Kylee, Lauren and Ella-Grace.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hermitage United Methodist Church or Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary in Mount Juliet.
