He is survived by: his wife Sara Ramsay Hunter; his children, William Mason Hunter IV (Danielle) of Old Hickory and Sara Beth Pegg (Zach) of Gallatin; his grandchildren, Ava, Jill, William Hunter, Silas, Daisye, June and Nora Pegg; and his sister Linda Hunter of Hot Springs, AR..
