He was predeceased by: his father George M. Koontz. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Koontz; his son Dylan Paris (Lacey); his granddaughter Bella Paris of Ooltewah; his mother Mary Koontz; his sister-in-law Pam Miller of Franklin, TN; his nephew Will Miller (Jessica); his aunt Lorraine George; and his uncle Ralph Erickson.
