He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hill Massengill of Ooltewah, TN.; his sons, Timothy Massengill (Stephanie) of Cleveland, TN. and Hosea Lebron Massengill of Chattanooga, TN.; his grandson Timothy A'Donte Massengill (Chelsea) of Chattanooga, TN.; his stepdaughters, Paris Ferby, Flora Addison of Ooltewah, TN., Julia Tisdell of Chattanooga, TN. and Jean Howard Hill of Washington, DC.; his close friend Eric Sims; his stepgrandson Jimmy Favors (Rita) of Birmingham, Ala.; his siblings, Bettie Pitner (Fredrick) of Cleveland, TN., Gwendolyn Pitner (Robert) of Cleveland, TN., Arthur Massengill (Eula) of Chattanooga, TN. and Thomas Massengill (Nancy) of Georgetown, TN.; and his sisters-in-law, Lucille Massengill and Mary Massengill.
