He was predeceased by : his parents, Clyde Paris and Janie McCoy James; and his former life partner Shirley James. He is survived by : his wife Phyllis James of Palmyra, Tennessee; his children, John James Jr. of Hopkinsville, Jeff James of Hopkinsville, Chris James (Rhonda) of Hopkinsville and Renea Matlock of Hopkinsville; his stepchildren, Michelle Grigsby of Alva, Ethan Wayne Bates of Naples and Brandy Detzel of Alva, Florida; and his brothers, Billy James of Monticello and Harold James of Kileen, Texas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
We are asking to follow the CDC guidelines of wearing a mask and social distancing.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the family for funeral expense.
