He was predeceased by : his parents, Jean Guinn and Robert Thornton; and his father-in-law Thomas "Tommy" Costner. He is survived by : his wife Patricia "Trish" Thornton; his son Robert Thornton (Tonya); his grandchildren, Ashton Thornton, Rylan Thornton and Maeghan Thornton; his siblings, Terri Whitt (Gary) and Randy Thornton (Jana); and his mother-in-law Rebecca Cureton (Gary James). He is also survived by his family, friends.
