He was predeceased by: his parents, Dillard H. Layne, Sr. and Anna Corene Cox Layne; and his brothers, James Ronald "Ronnie" Layne and Charles Doyle Layne. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Koger Layne; his children, Troy Kevin Layne (Patti), Russell Kirk Layne (Janet) and Travis Kyle Layne (Lindsey); his sisters, Joyce Gipson (Donnie) and Brenda Mitchell (Steve); his grandchildren, Heather, Joshua, Chad, Olivia, Amelia, Canyon and Reece; and his great grandchildren, Locke, Willow, Asher, Rivers and Aaron. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
