In the sacred silence of farewell, Monika is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her daughter Nicole Prince; and her parents, Joseph Gagne and Waltraud Gagne. She is survived by: her husband Timmy Claxton; her children, Jeremy Prince, Bruce Prince, Jason Prince and Amy Claxton; her stepdaughters, Laquitta Claxton and Melissa Claxton; and her sisters, Diana Spears and Sandra Morton. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gowen-Smith Chapel (850 Union St, Shelbyville, TN 37160). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
