He is survived by : his children, Amy Shanahan (Mike) and Dalton Cox (Sohnytha); his grandchildren, Zakrye, Jaikeb Cox, Michael, Josephine and Remington Shanahan; his stepchildren, Terri Thomas (Barry) and Kelley Watts; his stepgrandchildren, Zachary Thomas (Jess), Gabriel Thomas (Allie) and Avery Pettitt; and his close friend Jamie Ayers. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
