It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James W. Pope III of Pikeville, Tennessee, who passed away on July 10, 2023, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James "Bill" Pope, Jr. and Joan Estelle Smith Pope. He is survived by : his wife Lola Ruth Stephens Pope; his children, Leo Miller (Kaitlyn), Shaylene Miller (Cody See) and Layla Sills; his goddaughter Lauren Wheeler (Lucas); his daughter Katie Shaver (Michael); and his siblings, Benjamin Stewart (Stephanie), Libby Ellis and Karen Sellin (James). He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
