He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Irene Henry Newton and James Milo Newton; his siblings, Albert, James, Glenn and Bubba Newton; and his grandson James Harrison Newton.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Nell Esra Newton; his children, Loran Newton, Jimmy Collins (Darlene), Sherri Thomas (Mike), Daryl Newton (Angie) and Amy Farrell (Danny); and his sisters, Mary Sue Dicus and Patsy Garrott.
