He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ferguson and Susan Edwards Ferguson; his wife Imogene Broyles Ferguson; his son Ricky Ferguson; and his sisters, Gladys Ferguson and Otella Boshears.

He is survived by: his children, Edward Ferguson, Angie and Andrea; his daughter-in-law Beverly Ferguson; and his grandchildren, Colby Ferguson, Hunter Ferguson, Teddy, Monica Ferguson, Tabitha, John Branch and Chessica Ferguson.
