He was predeceased by: his stepfather Odell Terry. He is survived by: his children, Billy Simpkins, Gary Simpkins (Pamela) and Melissa Alsip (Charles); his mother Zona Terry; and his siblings, Jim Simpkins (Lois), Sharon Kilgore, Valrie Lozano, Barbara Ann Simpkins, Helen Simpkins and Patricia Simpkins. He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
