He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Carney and Mary Harris Elliott; his son Carney Stephen Elliott; his brother Ralph Elliott; and his nephew Larry S. Elliott.

He is survived by : his wife Anne Elliott; his great-niece Jaime Michelle Denton; his great-nephews, David Michael Elliott and Stephen Scott Elliott; and his cousins, John Medley, Mike Davis, John Davis and Ginger Williams.
