She was predeceased by : her husband Charles Byrd, Jr.; and her siblings, Connie Archer, Shirley DeBerry, Harold Wayne McBroom and Calvin McBroom.

She is survived by : her daughters, Cynthia Casey (Keith) of Ripley, Gina Pugh of Bells and Lois Powers of Ripley; her niece Tabitha Lents (Clarence) of Ripley; and her siblings, Linda Grant of Union City, L. C. McBroom of Murfreesboro and Leroy McBroom of Chicago. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
