With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Thelma Price Avery of Roan Mountain, Tennessee, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Price and Etta Broyles Price; her husband James Avery; her daughters, Hilda Avery, Rosetta Blanton and Helen Avery; her sisters, Emma Mae Price and Lucille Story; and her granddaughter Carla Blanton.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard Avery of Jacksonville, NC and Kelvin Avery of Elizabethton; and her grandchildren, Phyllis Avery, Rodney Jones, Denise Avery, Tonya Avery, Tony Avery, Juanita Blanton, Nathan Avery and Homaira Mirhabibi.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Tetrick Funeral Home (211 N Riverside Dr, Elizabethton, TN 37643). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Avery Cemetery.
