He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Raymond Johnson and Oda Marie Oaks Johnson; his sisters, Ruby Johnson and Roberta Woods; and his nephew Chucky Woods.
He is survived by : his child Shell Johnson; his grandchildren, David Todd Johnson (Kathy) and Sherri Davis (David) of Roan Mountain, TN; his great grandchildren, Emily Davis, Shelby Stout, Derek Russell and Jessica Sparks; and his nephews, Oakleigh Dugger, Paislee Dugger, Tanner Sparks, Brooklynn Sparks and Sebastian Russell.
