She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Bishop and Martha Lou Prater Bishop; her husband Carl Edward Yates; her daughter Venita Hosse; her granddaughter Tisha LaShae Cantrell; and her brothers, Deimer Smart Bishop and Richard Eugene Bishop.
She is survived by: her son Carl Timothy Yates (Carolyn) of Rock Island, TN; her grandchildren, Angie Hurst (Larry) of Sparta, TN, Jason Edward Yates and Davida Temple (Diane); her great grandchildren, Trevor, Lillian Hurst, Kayla Shepherd, Chloe, Will, Jayce, Braxton Yates, Shelby King and Braden Cantrell; and her nephew Vaughn Bishop.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kids of the Community or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
