He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil King and Mary King; his son Shawn Keith King; his siblings, Edd King (Lorean), Chris King, Kenneth King (Joyce) and Freda Lois Darden; his parents-in-law, Wiley and Olela Bates Widner; and his wife Sandra King of Rock Island, TN.
He is survived by: his son Paul Lynn King of Rock Island, TN; his grandsons, Andrew King (Beth Morton), Anthony King, Adam King (Chandra Ward) and Jeffery McGowen (Kristina); his great grandchildren, Carter Shawn King, Kellan King, Kasen Kelley, Karmen Harden, Addy King, Lyberty King, Avery King, Weston Morton, Ellorie Fann and Henley Fann; and his siblings, George Willard King (Donna) of McMinnville, TN, Johnny King (Janet) of Smithville, TN and Linda Richardson of Rock Island, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the High Funeral Home (101 College St, McMinnville, TN 37110).
Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173 Honor Guards.
