He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Lawson and Elizabeth Lawson (Dump); his grandparents, Esther Smith, Mack Ray and Roxie Lawson; his daughter Amy Lawson; and his granddaughters, Lauren Helton, Riley Elizabeth Lawson and Shirley Brennan.
He is survived by: his son Gary Lawson, Jr. (Ashley); his brother Ronnie Lawson (Debbie); his grandsons, Logan Helton, Garrett Lawson, Gavin Lawson and Grant Lawson; and his sibling's children, Brandon Lawson (Michelle) and Christy Clark (Jason).
