He is survived by: his children, Gordon Steven Isom (Candi) of Johnson City, William Christopher Maurice Isom (Joy) of Johnson City, Broderick Brent Isom (Danielle) of Johnson City, Gary Leon Johnson Jr. (Jessica) of Johnson City, Tasha Sly (Omar) of Murfreesboro and Latisa April Shelton of Morristown; his siblings, Heather Hatterson (James) of Summersville, SC, Gia Jones of Ohio, Gretchyn Bridges of Ohio, Celeste Isom-Olds of Ohio, Geoffrey Isom of Ohio and Glenn Isom of Ohio; his son Chris Cole; his grandchildren, Noah, Ezra, Madison, Kenadee, Logan, Quincy, Malachi, Jazmine, Jarreion, Jaeilah, Jalin, Jazmyn, Emmanuel, Mia, Maleeya, Kasiah, Josiah and Xavier; his great grandchildren, Envy, Taytum and Luna; his nieces, Ciara and Leandra; his former wife Huetta Isom; and his close friend Lula Rogers.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Christian Sells Funeral Home (1520 E Main St, Rogersville, TN 37857). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 at the Mitchell Crest Cemetery.
