He is survived by: his wife Carrie Dockery Hobbs; his children, James "Jim" Gregory Hobbs (Alinda) and Rebecca "Becky" Hobbs Kennedy (Jim); his siblings, Hother Thomas "H. T." and Edna Johnston (Jim); his grandchildren, Megan Sharee Metelka (Kyle), Hunter Grey Hobbs (Emily Brooke Featherston), John Wesley Kennedy and Heather Lanelle Rankin (Bobby); his great grandchildren, Bronxton and Bexley Rankin; and his close friend Kenny King.
