She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hickman and Tempa Taylor Hickman; her husband William H. Burns, Jr.; her son-in-law John E. Jones; her sister Dixie Nicholson; her grandson Lawrence M. Godsby; and her great grandchild Chloe A. Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Jones, Connie Schaerer (Charlie), Charlene McNany (Terry) and Michael Burns; her sister June Roberts; her grandchildren, Vanessa Keel, Justin Carter, Michael Burns, Jr., Jayme Burns, Brandee Burns and Austin Jones; and her nieces, Tempa A. Long and Patricia Quarles. She is also survived by three daughters and son.
