She was predeceased by: her parents, Capers McCarty and Ruby Posey McCarty. She is survived by: her children, Jimmie Chitty (Debra) and Mitzi Walker (Gene); her sister Janet Thomas (Bari); her grandchildren, Amy, Jeremy, Joseph, Julie Walker, Dana Williamson, Sherry Wilson and Chris Adkinson; and her nieces, Tara Kramer (John), Courtney Thomas, Meridith Thomas (Matt Woodson) and Jamie Thomas Garrett (Koree). She is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren.
