He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda; his son Jerry; and his siblings, Quinice, Lyman and Cleo.
He is survived by: his siblings, S. G. "Dode" Newman, David Newman, Charles "Earl" Newman, Carroll Newman and Helen Carey; his daughters, Judy Huskey, Carolyn (Larris Gann), Sandra (Doug Bales) and Christy (Jonathan Snapp); his daughter-in-law Jamie Satterfield Newman; his grandchildren, Bryan Atchley, Lori Beth James-Sandefur, Ashley (Ben Hess), Sarah (Andrew Huskey), Megan Newman, Elijah Newman, Cassie (Zack Cate), Tyler Chesteen (Tiffany Ball) and Kelsey (Patrick Trentham); his great grandchildren, Bryan Steven Atchley and Chelsey James; and his great great grandchild Aubrey James.
