He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Charles Lancaster and Effie Chapman Lancaster; his stepmother Evelyn Lancaster; his aunt Edna Pearl Chapman; and his grandparents, Ellen Yarbro Chapman and Khan Wooten Chapman.
He is survived by: his former wife Wanda Sztukowska; his wife Wanda Lancaster; and his sister Lou Ellen Johnson of Memphis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many dear lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to a favorite charity including Doctors Without Borders, The Southern Poverty Law Center and Amnesty International.
