He was predeceased by: his daughter Michele Leigh Whaley; and his parents, Inez Whaley and Dewey Whaley. He is survived by: his wife Linda Whaley; his children, Cheri Whaley and David Whaley; his siblings, Ricky Whaley and Susan Sarten (David); and his sister-in-law Evelyn Stephens (Danny). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
