He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Patricia Gwathney; his sons, Gordon Edward Gwathney (Angela) and Russell Patrick Gwathney; his grandchildren, Brianna Gwathney, Bryce Gwathney, Abbygail Gwathney, Jesse and Brody Gwathney; and his sister Wanda Fore (Paul).
