She is survived by: her husband James Robert "Bob" Powell; her children, Jan Ragsdale, Mike Powell of Shelbyville and Marty Powell of Missouri; her siblings, Beverly Pruitt of Smyrna and Haywood Fordham (Ann) of Stockbridge; and her grandchildren, Amanda Cooper, Drew Powell, Justin Powell, Jessie Powell and Austin Powell. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
