It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jochen Oberdorf of Shelbyville, Tennessee, who passed away on May 24, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Mary Jochen departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Mary Jochen may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Mary Jochen leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Patricia Jochen and Bertram Jochen. She is survived by: her daughter Sara Victoria; her former husband Peter Scott Oberdorf; her grandson Curtis Scott; her daughter Patty Stiggins (Matt); and her grandchildren, Landon James and Sydney Grace.
