She was predeceased by: her husband Lewis P. Thatcher Jr.; and her parents, E. Del Wood and Iva Jones Wood. She is survived by: her children, Catherine Wood Thatcher Traver (Doug) of Knoxville, Elizabeth Lewis Thatcher Bryant (Mark) of Signal Mountain and Lewis DeLeon Thatcher (Marita) of Sale Creek; her grandchildren, Douglas Dunlap Traver, Jr. (Natalie), James Patterson Wood Traver of Knoxville and Catherine Iva Carolyn Bryant of Signal Mountain; her great grandchildren, Douglas Dunlap Traver III and Cannon Ellis Traver of Knoxville; her nephews, E. Del Wood III of Birmingham and Stephen H. Wood of Birmingham; and also Mary Catherine Jones Roote of Stephenson, Alabama..
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Chattanooga.
