With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rodney Poindexter of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, who passed away on June 2, 2025 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Robert Poindexter; and his parents-in-law, Betty Dorsett and Jerry Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Carla Poindexter; his mother Barbara Poindexter; his children, Paige Longwith (Ryan), Blake Poindexter, Alanda Gordie (Jay), Erica Nelson and Ricky Nelson; his grandchildren, Kash Longwith, Westin Poindexter, Ava Smith, Jagger Smith, Ryder Smith, Jaycee Gordie, Landen Gordie, Taylor Nelson and River Nelson; his brothers, Scott Poindexter and Chuck Poindexter; and his close friend Rocky Bradford.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church (86 US-127, Signal Mountain, TN 37327). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
