He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Spencer Dillon Short, II and Euderia Murphy Short; his son Mack Short; his brother Doyle Short; his wife Carol H. Short; his children, Tim (Tina), Kristie Gipson (Mark) and Josh Short (Maria); and his sisters, Peggy Henderson (Will) and Martha Davis. He was also cherished by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
