It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stella Jewell James of Smyrna, Tennessee, born in Mooresburg, Tennessee, who passed away on December 31, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Peavler and Nina Peavler; and her sisters, Cindy Wyatt and Bobbie Young. She is survived by: her husband Bill James of Smyrna; her daughters, Rhonda Bateman (Gray) of Murfreesboro and Mona Hillard (Jason) of Lebanon; her grandchildren, Brandon James, Aaron Hillard, Rachel Bateman, Graham Bateman and Hailey Hillard; her great grandchild Mason Hillard; and her sister Cleo Friddle. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in memory of Mrs. James to the American Lung Association.
