He was predeceased by: his grandmother Lillie M. Vaughn; his parents, Kenneth Neal and Bettie Neal; and his siblings, Bobby Neal and Ann Chastain.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Turner Russell; his daughters, Debra Green (Marty), Betsye Neal Bishop, Cathy Lewis (Robert) and Kim Leffew (Todd); his grandchildren, Thomas Green (Ellys), Tanner Green, Jessica Hall (Skip), Sara Dockery (Brandon), Coy Lewis, Cooper Lewis and Laik Leffew; his great grandchildren, Rollins Green, Alexa Cook and Brice Cook; and his sisters, Vickie Allen, Darlene Neal and Patti Manus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Siskin Children's Institute or Grayson's Ladder.
