She was predeceased by: her husband John "Fuzzy" Steele; her parents, Daniel Gass (Mattie Rich) and Polly Gass; and her brothers, Jackie, Bobby, George and Cecil Rich.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Phillips (Ryan) of Jasper, TN and Keith Steele (Alesha) of New Hope, TN; her grandchildren, Keyle, Josh Henderson, Savannah Phillips, Trent Phillips and Brooklyn Steele; her brothers, Ray Rich (Sharon) and Ronnie Rich (Renae); and her sisters-in-law, Susie Belk, Ann Rich and Sarah Jackson.
