She was predeceased by : her parents, Michael Wilson Newby and Martha Emma Redmon Newby; her husband Robert Rex Martin; her siblings, Helen Newby Rigsby, Pauline Newby Griffith, Willaim Carson Newby, Norman Buel Newby and Eudean Gray Newby; and her nieces and nephews, Billy Roy Griffith, Joyce Rigsby Green, Muriel Newby Irvin, Bobby Newby, Joseph Newby and David Michael Newby.

She is survived by : her nephews, Paul Rigsby of Dibrell, TN, John Newby of Sparta, TN and Charles Newby of Lebanon; and her niece Norma Newby Redmon of Pacific Grove, CA..
