With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert M. Short of Speedwell, Tennessee, who passed away on March 7, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Short; his close friend Melva Speakman; his parents, John W. Short and Betty Harris Short; and his siblings, William, Garfield, Tilman Short, Nettie Byas, Zola Haynes, Sarah McConaha and Willie Rigney.

He is survived by: his daughters, Betty Jo Grube, Penny Sue Crosswhite, Robin Gail Loomis and Ginger Kay Short; and his brother John D. Short (Sandi). He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren 18 Great-grandchildren 5 Great-great-grandchildren.
