She was predeceased by : her husband Victor Dawson; her parents, Thomas Byron and Mary Lois Davis; and her brother Thomas Edgar Davis. She is survived by : her children, Vickie Dawson, Angie Sowers (Johnny) and Roy Dawson (Chris); her grandchildren, Matthew Jacobs (Ashley), Joel Jacobs (Isis), Kyle Dawson (Heather), Keenum Dawson (Allison), Katie Dawson (Tanner Garrett) and Monica Sowers; her great grandchildren, Wyatt Jacobs, Ava Dawson, Dillon Dawson, Maggie Dawson, Lane Bowden, Jack Dawson, Merrin Dawson and Cole Garrett; and her siblings, Richard Davis (Hilda Faye) and Verla Buchanan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.
