He was predeceased by: his parents, Porter E. Venable and Ruby Hendrix Venable; and his brothers, Don "Butch" Venable, Wayne Venable and Ronnie Venable.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn Venable; his children, Stephanie Branch (Richard) of Knoxville, Laura Pickens (Michael) of Knoxville and Jonathan Watkins (Meredith) of Christiana; his sister Pat Merritt (Tony) of Texas; his grandchildren, Connor, Caroline, Sophia Branch, Tyler, Evelyn, Emery Pickens and Mackenzie Watkins; and his pet Ellie Mae. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
