He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ellis and Mamie Ellis; his sister Betty Jane King (Leland King); and his significant other Linda Rutledge. He is survived by: his daughter Barbara Jane Ellis Simmons (Wayne Kerns); his grandsons, Westen C Simmons (Christy) and Wayne E. Simmons; his great grandchild Sophie Simmons; the mother of his child Evelyn Ellis; his niece Shelia Heward (Art); his nephew Henry Bass (Julie); and his friend Ann Smith. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews and cousins.
