He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Alvis and Grace Alvis; and his siblings, Gene Alvis, Randall Alvis and Linda Borghetti.
He is survived by: his sons, Dustin and Cory; and his siblings, Elbert Glenn "Big" (Anitta) of Surgoinsville, Danny of Surgoinsville, Edward Alvis of Surgoinsville, Dennis (Terri) of Rogersville and Brenda Burton (Lowell). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
