He was predeceased by: his wife Millie Compton; his parents, Louie Compton and Rosetta Seal; his brother William "Bill" Compton; and his stepdaughter Laura Bowman.
He is survived by: his child Sherry Clem (Tim); his stepson Brian Bowman (Janet); his grandchildren, Andy Clem, Alicia Peetz, Josh Compton and Alyson Compton; his stepgrandsons, Nathan Thatcher and Dillon Bowman; his brother Troy Compton (Retha); and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Compton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
